Japanese electronics giant Toshiba may have been dealt a fatal blow in its attempt to win the battle for high-definition DVD.According to announcements at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES), the world’s largest technology industry exhibition in Las Vegas this week, several major movie studios are ditching Toshiba’s HD-DVD format. New Line Cinema has joined Warner Bros in revealing that in future it would only be supplying its movies in Blu-ray format – the competitor to Toshiba’s format.
