Well not until July 11th anyway. As predicted it comes with 3G and GPS. These rumours were the worlds worst kept secret. There were countless blogs (this one included!!) posting rumours, speculation and information from an unknown source relating to the latest features and looks of the new 3G iPhone 2.0, or whatever its new official name is.

Of course not all of the rumoured featured upgrades were included in the new phone. There is still only a 2 megapixel camera that does not record video clips. Also there is no camera on the front of the phone. This was expected to allow video conferencing on the now accessible 3G networks supported by the new 3G capable phone. There is still no support for MMS.

But who cares? O2 Ireland will now be selling this must-have gadget from as little as €45. Its almost enough to make me switch back to O2 (c’mon O2 get proper coverage in my house so I can buy an iPhone!!). There are a number of tarriffs available. Basically the more you pay upfront, the less you pay every month in your bill. And also the converse works too, the less you pay upfront the more you pay every month on your bill.
